The Toyota Hilux pickup truck is a well-known workhorse among many Kenyans, especially in the business community. And for some, it’s a work truck through the week and a family car on weekends. Even with the entrance of new players such as the Ford Ranger, Nissan Navara, and Volkswagen Amarok, the Hilux remains a favorite for many people. The Toyota Hilux has been in production since 1968 and it isn’t going away anytime soon.
